Launch of Arbre Forest Industries Training & Careers Hub

Arbre Forest Hub OpeningIndustry leaders from around Tasmania came together to create the Arbre Forest Industries Training and Careers Hub.

Based in Launceston (16 Hope Street, Invermay), the prime function of the Hub is to promote the careers within the forest industry through the provision of a clear entry and learning path for potential employees and to introduce potential employees with employers.

The Hub was officially launched by the Hon Peter Gutwein, MP, Treasurer and Minister for Forestry, on Wednesday 23rd March.  Melissa and Michelle from TransTrain attended the launch and really enjoyed playing on amazing high tech and realistic simulators that are available for use in the Hub, and comparing these with the full scale live versions of the equipment parked at the Hub.

A not-for-profit organisation, the Hub is overseen and managed by a governing board represented by Forico, Forestry Tasmania, Kevin Morgan Group of Companies, Timberlands Pacific, Norske Skog and IFARM.
